Key Responsibilities
- Support daily administrative and operational activities within the assigned Court Station, Tribunal, Directorate, or Department.
- Report directly to the designated supervisor or mentor and complete assigned duties professionally.
- Assist with organizing, filing, updating, and maintaining official records while ensuring confidentiality.
- Prepare, arrange, and manage documents required for departmental activities and administrative processes.
- Provide courteous assistance to internal staff, visitors, and members of the public whenever required.
- Participate in implementing departmental projects and assigned operational initiatives.
- Support office coordination by scheduling meetings, organizing work materials, and maintaining accurate records.
- Assist in preparing reports, correspondence, presentations, and routine administrative documentation.
- Observe and comply with Judiciary policies, procedures, regulations, and institutional guidelines.
- Maintain professionalism, integrity, confidentiality, and accountability while handling official information.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues from different departments to achieve organizational objectives.
- Participate in mentorship sessions, learning activities, and workplace development programmes.
- Support digital records management and accurate data entry using approved organizational systems.
- Assist in monitoring departmental activities and contribute to continuous service improvement initiatives.
- Help maintain organized office environments that support efficient workflow and productivity.
- Contribute ideas that improve administrative efficiency while respecting approved institutional procedures.
- Attend departmental meetings, training sessions, and official briefings as directed by supervisors.
- Complete assigned assignments within established timelines while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Demonstrate excellent customer service when interacting with court users and stakeholders.
- Support document tracking, retrieval, classification, and archiving activities where applicable.
- Participate in teamwork initiatives that promote effective collaboration across various functional units.
- Maintain accurate records of completed assignments and provide progress updates to supervisors.
- Observe workplace health, safety, and security procedures during daily operations.
- Use computer applications responsibly for official communication and administrative functions.
- Support inventory, logistics, procurement, or records-related assignments where applicable.
- Assist technical departments according to individual educational background and deployment requirements.
- Uphold ethical standards expected of officers serving within the Judiciary.
- Respect confidentiality when handling sensitive judicial or organizational information.
- Demonstrate flexibility by adapting to different assignments based on departmental priorities.

- Participate actively in performance reviews and learning evaluations conducted during the internship.
- Seek guidance whenever necessary to ensure assigned tasks are completed accurately.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Applicants should possess a bachelor's degree in any recognized discipline from an accredited institution. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in computer applications and possess the ability to use common office software for documentation, communication, data management, and reporting. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential, together with the ability to interact respectfully with colleagues, supervisors, stakeholders, and members of the public. Applicants should display excellent interpersonal skills, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams. High ethical standards, honesty, professionalism, and personal integrity are fundamental requirements due to the sensitive nature of the Judiciary's work. Successful candidates should be adaptable, organized, dependable, and capable of managing multiple assignments while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality. Applicants must demonstrate commitment to public service, respect for institutional values, and readiness to serve in any assigned Court Station within Kenya. Candidates should satisfy the applicable requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya and be prepared to uphold the principles of accountability, transparency, fairness, and responsible conduct throughout the internship program.
