Job Description

World Vision International is seeking an experienced Digital Transformation Project Manager to drive the successful delivery of strategic digital initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and strengthen business capabilities across its global humanitarian network. Working in partnership with senior business leaders, technology specialists, and international stakeholders, the Digital Transformation Project Manager will transform approved business priorities into structured implementation plans that deliver measurable outcomes. The role requires a combination of strategic leadership, sound governance, and disciplined execution to guide projects through every stage of the delivery lifecycle, from planning and solution design to development, testing, deployment, organizational readiness, and post-implementation support. The successful candidate will coordinate multidisciplinary teams comprising business analysts, software engineers, solution architects, cloud specialists, cybersecurity professionals, quality assurance experts, infrastructure teams, change management practitioners, and external technology partners. By encouraging effective collaboration across business and technical functions, the Project Manager will ensure that digital investments deliver practical solutions, improve operational performance, reduce implementation risks, and encourage successful user adoption. This position requires exceptional leadership, communication, stakeholder engagement, financial oversight, governance, and organizational planning skills. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead multiple enterprise digital transformation initiatives from project initiation through successful implementation and operational transition.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans covering scope, timelines, milestones, budgets, deliverables, resources, and governance activities.
  • Coordinate cross-functional delivery teams consisting of technical, operational, and business specialists.
  • Translate strategic business objectives into practical delivery roadmaps and measurable implementation plans.
  • Monitor project performance using recognized project management methodologies and reporting frameworks.
  • Establish realistic schedules while proactively managing competing priorities and resource availability.
  • Build productive working relationships with executive sponsors, business leaders, technology teams, vendors, and implementation partners.
  • Facilitate project governance meetings, steering committee sessions, workshops, and executive progress reviews.
  • Prepare accurate project reports highlighting achievements, financial status, risks, dependencies, forecasts, and recommendations.
  • Identify project risks early and implement mitigation strategies that reduce operational and delivery impacts.
  • Resolve complex project issues through structured analysis, collaborative decision-making, and timely escalation where necessary.
  • Manage project budgets by monitoring expenditure, forecasting costs, and ensuring responsible financial stewardship.
  • Coordinate procurement activities and collaborate with suppliers throughout project delivery.
  • Ensure vendor performance meets contractual obligations, quality standards, and agreed implementation schedules.
  • Support business analysis activities by validating project requirements and ensuring alignment with organizational priorities.
  • Oversee quality assurance planning to confirm solutions satisfy technical and business expectations before deployment.
  • Promote effective communication across geographically distributed project teams.
  • Ensure organizational readiness through structured implementation planning, knowledge transfer, and operational support preparation.
  • Collaborate with change management specialists to encourage user engagement and successful adoption of new digital solutions.
  • Coordinate training schedules and implementation activities that prepare employees for system transitions.
  • Monitor project dependencies across multiple concurrent initiatives and adjust plans when priorities evolve.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational governance standards, security policies, and delivery frameworks.
  • Support cloud-based, infrastructure, application, integration, and enterprise technology initiatives where required.
  • Encourage continuous improvement by documenting lessons learned and recommending process enhancements.
  • Mentor junior project professionals by sharing delivery knowledge, governance practices, and planning techniques.
  • Maintain complete project documentation throughout every delivery phase.
  • Balance business expectations with technical feasibility to support informed decision-making.
  • Promote collaboration, accountability, transparency, and high-performance teamwork throughout every project lifecycle.
  • Measure project outcomes against agreed success indicators and organizational objectives.
  • Deliver digital capabilities that create sustainable operational improvements and measurable organizational value.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • The ideal candidate should possess a bachelor's degree in business administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, Project Management, Information Systems, or another closely related discipline from a recognized institution. A professional certification such as Project Management Professional (PMP), PRINCE2 Practitioner, or an equivalent internationally recognized credential is essential. Additional qualifications in Agile delivery frameworks including Scrum, Safe, Disciplined Agile, or similar methodologies will be highly advantageous. Certification in organizational change management or digital transformation practices will provide added value.
