Key Responsibilities

  • Teach undergraduate Mechanical Engineering courses allocated by the Head of Department using effective learner-centered instructional approaches.
  • Prepare comprehensive lesson plans, lecture notes, laboratory manuals, teaching resources, and assessment materials.
  • Deliver high-quality lectures that encourage analytical thinking, engineering innovation, and practical problem-solving.
  • Facilitate laboratory practical sessions while ensuring compliance with engineering laboratory safety procedures.
  • Guide students during engineering design projects, practical assignments, and industrial-based learning activities.
  • Develop, review, and continuously improve course outlines to maintain academic relevance and industry alignment.
  • Participate in curriculum development and program review exercises within the department.
  • Design fair, reliable, and competency-based examinations, assignments, quizzes, and continuous assessments.
  • Mark examinations promptly and provide constructive academic feedback to students.
  • Supervise undergraduate research projects and engineering innovation initiatives.
  • Mentor students academically, professionally, and personally to support their educational success.
  • Provide career guidance that prepares graduates for engineering practice and further academic advancement.
  • Participate actively in departmental meetings, faculty activities, and institutional committees whenever required.
  • Conduct independent and collaborative research in Mechanical Engineering and related disciplines.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Applicants should possess a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized and accredited university together with a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution. Candidates must be registered for a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or an equivalent doctoral qualification and demonstrate satisfactory academic progress toward completion. A minimum of three years of relevant post
