Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate hospitality operations to ensure efficient daily service delivery within assigned government institutions.
- Supervise hospitality support staff and provide clear work schedules and operational guidance.
- Monitor housekeeping activities to maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and sanitation.
- Support food production and catering operations while ensuring compliance with established procedures.
- Oversee guest reception services and promote a welcoming, professional environment.
- Ensure dining facilities remain organized, clean, safe, and ready for service.
- Monitor adherence to hospitality quality standards across all operational areas.
- Assist in planning and coordinating institutional hospitality programs and events.
- Conduct regular inspections of hospitality facilities and recommend improvements where necessary.
- Monitor inventory levels for hospitality supplies and report replenishment requirements.
- Ensure proper storage, handling, and utilization of hospitality equipment and materials.
- Participate in developing efficient work schedules that enhance productivity.
- Support implementation of institutional customer service standards.
- Guide junior staff through practical workplace coaching and mentorship.
- Participate in identifying staff training requirements and professional development opportunities.
- Monitor employee performance and provide constructive feedback to improve service quality.
- Promote teamwork and collaboration among hospitality personnel.
- Ensure compliance with occupational health and workplace safety requirements.
- Encourage responsible utilization of government resources and equipment.

- Ensure compliance with government regulations governing hospitality operations.

- Monitor cleanliness of accommodation facilities where applicable.
- Support planning and execution of official meetings, conferences, and hospitality events.

- Assist in evaluating hospitality performance indicators for continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Applicants must possess a bachelor's degree from a university recognized in Kenya in any of the following disciplines: Hotel and Catering Management, Hotel and Hospitality Management, Hospitality and Tourism Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality Management, or another closely related hospitality field. Candidates should demonstrate a sound understanding of hospitality operations, customer service principles, institutional housekeeping, catering management, food service coordination, hospitality administration, and quality assurance practices. Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills are essential for interacting effectively with colleagues, supervisors, guests, and stakeholders. - solving skills, and the capacity to prioritize tasks within dynamic operational environments. Basic computer literacy, report preparation skills, and proficiency in standard office applications will be an added advantage.
