The successful candidates will support transport operations that facilitate wildlife conservation activities, administrative functions, field assignments, and operational logistics within the organization. There are three available positions based in Mombasa and Tsavo East, offering an opportunity to work in one of Kenya's most important conservation environments while contributing to efficient public service delivery. The Driver III position plays a vital role in ensuring that official transport services are delivered professionally, safely, and efficiently. The successful candidates will be responsible for operating government vehicles in accordance with traffic laws, organizational transport policies, and established safety procedures. Daily assignments may include transporting employees, authorized visitors, field officers, equipment, conservation supplies, and official documents to various destinations while maintaining high standards of professionalism and confidentiality. The role requires individuals who demonstrate excellent judgment, defensive driving skills, and the ability to adapt to diverse working conditions including urban roads, highways, remote conservation areas, rough terrain, and varying weather conditions. Drivers will also be expected to perform routine vehicle inspections before and after every journey, identify mechanical concerns early, maintain accurate vehicle movement records, monitor fuel consumption, and ensure that assigned vehicles remain clean, roadworthy, and compliant with transport regulations. Working within a conservation environment demands reliability, flexibility, and commitment to operational excellence. Drivers may occasionally support emergency response activities, wildlife management operations, community outreach programs, administrative assignments, or other official duties that require dependable transport services. Every journey should be planned with attention to passenger safety, vehicle security, and efficient route management. Successful candidates will work closely with supervisors, transport officers, mechanics, and departmental staff to ensure that transport requests are executed efficiently without compromising safety or organizational standards. The ideal candidate is an experienced and responsible driver who understands the importance of vehicle care, safe driving practices, customer service, and compliance with transport policies. Strong communication skills, basic computer literacy, willingness to learn, and the ability to work independently or within multidisciplinary teams will contribute significantly to success in this position. This opportunity is suitable for qualified drivers seeking to build a rewarding career within Kenya's public conservation sector while supporting operations that protect wildlife resources, promote sustainable environmental management, and facilitate efficient service delivery across diverse operational locations.
