Job Description

Premier Hospital is seeking a highly motivated, innovative, and career-driven ICT Graduate Trainee to join its Information and Communication Technology team. Throughout the training period, the Graduate Trainee will participate in structured learning assignments that combine technical development with professional growth, enabling them to understand how modern healthcare technology environments operate. The role offers valuable experience in supporting enterprise applications, assisting with system implementation projects, maintaining ICT documentation, participating in software testing activities, monitoring system performance, and responding to end-user support requests. The trainee will also become familiar with data integrity processes, user account administration, technology asset management, and operational support procedures while adhering to established organizational standards. Working under the guidance of the ICT Manager and senior technical staff, the Graduate Trainee will contribute to projects that improve operational efficiency, strengthen digital service delivery, and enhance user experience across hospital departments. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first-level technical support to hospital employees by diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, printer, and connectivity issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist senior ICT personnel in preparing, validating, cleansing, and reconciling organizational data before migration, upgrades, or system implementation activities.
  • Participate in software installation, configuration, maintenance, and routine updates for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and enterprise applications.
  • Execute approved application testing scenarios and accurately document testing outcomes, observations, identified defects, and corrective recommendations.
  • Support user acceptance testing activities by coordinating feedback, recording issues, and verifying successful resolution before production deployment.
  • Assist with user account creation, password management, permission reviews, and access administration while following approved security procedures.
  • Monitor assigned ICT systems, scheduled processes, backups, and operational dashboards to identify potential issues requiring escalation.
  • Help maintain accurate inventories of ICT hardware, software licenses, accessories, and technology assets across hospital departments.
  • Support implementation of technology projects by preparing documentation, coordinating deployment activities, and assisting during system rollouts.
  • Prepare user manuals, operational procedures, quick-reference guides, and technical documentation for future system support and knowledge sharing.
  • Assist with routine maintenance of servers, workstations, networking equipment, and peripheral devices under the supervision of experienced ICT staff.
  • Respond promptly to service desk requests while maintaining excellent customer service and ensuring effective communication with end users.
  • Escalate complex technical incidents to senior ICT personnel and follow up to ensure issues are resolved within agreed service timelines.
  • Participate in troubleshooting network connectivity challenges involving wired and wireless infrastructure while documenting findings accurately.
  • Assist with monitoring cybersecurity controls, antivirus status, endpoint protection, and compliance with organizational ICT security standards.
  • Support interface testing and integration activities between enterprise systems to improve information flow and operational efficiency.
  • Participate in ICT awareness initiatives by assisting with user training sessions and promoting responsible technology usage.
  • Maintain confidentiality of organizational information, patient records, and sensitive digital assets in accordance with hospital policies.
  • Contribute ideas that improve ICT processes, automation opportunities, workflow efficiency, and service delivery standards.
  • Ensure assigned work is completed accurately, professionally, and within agreed deadlines while demonstrating initiative and accountability.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues from different departments to understand business needs and recommend appropriate technology solutions.
  • Assist in documenting recurring technical issues and developing practical knowledge-base articles for future reference.
  • Support disaster recovery preparations by participating in backup verification and restoration testing exercises.
  • Maintain professional conduct, continuously develop technical knowledge, and actively participate in departmental meetings, coaching sessions, and assigned learning activities.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology.
