- The TVET Trainer – Health Records and Information Technology will undertake the following responsibilities:
- Delivery of Competency-Based Training: Prepare and deliver high-quality lessons and practical sessions covering Health Records Management, Electronic Medical Records (EMR), health informatics systems, patient data management, coding, and reporting.
- Curriculum Development and Lesson Planning: Develop comprehensive lesson plans, schemes of work, instructional materials, and digital learning resources aligned with TVET curriculum standards.
- Practical Supervision: Conduct laboratory and practical sessions to train students in accurate record keeping, database management, health information systems operations, and adherence to data privacy regulations.
- Assessment and Evaluation: Design, administer, and mark continuous assessments, practical exercises, and final examinations to evaluate student performance effectively.
- Student Mentorship: Provide academic guidance, mentorship, and counseling to students during their studies and supervised industrial attachments. Monitor and assess student performance in collaboration with industry supervisors.
- Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure training activities comply with institutional policies, TVET standards, and national health data management regulations. Promote best practices in ethical handling of patient records.
