Responsibilities for Games Attendant – Grade 3/4 in Kenya
- The Games Attendant – Grade 3/4 will be responsible for a wide range of tasks aimed at promoting fitness, wellness, and recreational engagement within the university community. Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting fitness sessions, personal training, and group workouts: Deliver structured fitness sessions tailored to different participant levels, including aerobics, gym workouts, strength and conditioning programs, and other fitness activities. Ensure sessions are engaging, safe, and effective for all participants.
- Monitoring and guiding participants: Closely supervise students and staff during all fitness activities, providing guidance on correct techniques, posture, and safety measures to prevent injuries. Offer support and motivation to encourage full participation and progression.
- Maintaining gym equipment and facilities: Ensure all gym equipment is in proper working condition, clean, and organized. Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance needs, report malfunctions, and uphold safety standards across all recreational areas.
- Responding to emergencies: Act promptly in case of accidents, injuries, or medical emergencies. Administer first aid when necessary and coordinate with medical personnel to ensure participant safety.
- Planning and organizing sports and recreational programs: Assist in the coordination of sports events, fitness programs, wellness campaigns, and recreational activities. Contribute ideas to enhance participation, engagement, and the overall experience for all members of the university community.
- Record-keeping and reporting: Maintain accurate records of participant attendance, fitness progress, and program participation. Provide regular reports to supervisors to support the evaluation and improvement of programs.
- Collaboration with senior staff: Work alongside senior instructors, coaches, and administrative personnel to refine training programs, enhance participant engagement, and promote a cohesive team environment.
- Promoting health and wellness awareness: Educate participants on the importance of fitness, nutrition, and healthy lifestyle choices. Encourage long-term commitment to wellness through workshops, demonstrations, and daily interactions.
- Professionalism and inclusivity: Maintain high professional standards, demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, and foster an inclusive, welcoming, and positive environment in all activities and interactions.

Qualifications for Games Attendant – Grade 3/4 in Kenya
- KCSE
Skills & Experience for Games Attendant – Grade 3/4 in Kenya
- KCSE D+ or KCE Division IV.
- Certificate in Coaching (Gym and Aerobics Instructor).
- Certificate in First Aid.
- At least two (2) years of experience as a fitness instructor
- personal trainer
- or in a similar role within a busy gym environment.
