The Retail Team Lead is responsible for coordinating daily store activities, including opening and closing procedures, staff scheduling, task allocation, and maintaining a clean, organized, and visually appealing retail environment. They ensure that all Hotpoint products—such as home appliances and electronics—are properly displayed, priced, and merchandised according to company guidelines. By monitoring stock levels, the Team Lead works closely with inventory and warehouse teams to prevent stock shortages or overstocking. A major responsibility of the role is leading and motivating the retail sales team. The Retail Team Lead provides on-the-job coaching, product knowledge training, and performance feedback to team members to help them meet and exceed sales targets. They set daily and weekly sales goals, track performance, and implement strategies to improve conversion rates, upselling, and cross-selling of Hotpoint products and accessories. Customer experience is a core focus of this role. The Retail Team Lead ensures that all customers receive professional, friendly, and knowledgeable service. They handle escalated customer inquiries, complaints, and returns in a timely and respectful manner, ensuring issues are resolved in line with company policies while protecting customer satisfaction and brand reputation. Responsibilities for Retail Team Lead in Kenya
- Schedule daily operations-prepare a schedule of activities in the branch and allocate tasks to the team.
- Ensure presentation and visual merchandising (Display) of showroom as per the required standards.
- Ensure Showroom is fully stocked with required stocks.
- Ensure that all POP\'s are in place and pricing completed.
- Follow up that customers are promptly attended to on arrival in the showroom.
- Assist Sales Persons in closing the sale.
- Carry out product discounting in conjunction with Orion guidelines.
- Handle all customer care calls and respond to queries on email.
- To take charge of completed admin process.
- Process showroom orders received on a daily basis in liaison with credit control and updating the summary report.
- Preparing feature cards and ensuring all POP processed and availed to sales people for any promotions.
- Act as a reliever for the Cashier / Stores Supervisor / Acting manager to support whilst absent or on leave.
- Any other duties assigned by the Manager as and when required.
