Key Responsibilities
- Provide professional medical consultations, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care for patients presenting with various health conditions.
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop appropriate treatment plans based on clinical findings.
- Prescribe medications and therapies in accordance with approved medical guidelines and professional standards.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and provide immediate lifesaving interventions when required.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans based on evolving clinical needs.
- Ensure accurate, complete, and timely documentation of patient records and clinical encounters.
- Maintain confidentiality and safeguard patient information in accordance with ethical and legal requirements.
- Coordinate patient referrals to specialists, hospitals, and other healthcare providers when necessary.
- Supervise clinical activities to ensure delivery of safe, efficient, and high-quality healthcare services.
- Support implementation of quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient outcomes.
- Participate in clinical audits and contribute to the development of corrective action plans.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, licensing requirements, and organizational policies.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to promote coordinated patient care.
- Provide professional guidance and mentorship to junior healthcare staff where appropriate.
- Participate in health education programs and community health awareness initiatives.
- Monitor utilization of medical resources and support efficient allocation of healthcare supplies.
- Assist in planning and coordination of clinic operations to improve service delivery.
- Prepare clinical reports, operational updates, and healthcare performance summaries.
- Support implementation and effective use of Health Management Information Systems.
- Monitor adherence to infection prevention and control standards within the facility.
- Participate in staff meetings, case discussions, and professional development activities.
- Contribute to development and review of clinical protocols and operational procedures.
- Support workforce planning and staff scheduling activities where required.
- Promote a culture of professionalism, accountability, and patient-centered care.
- Address patient concerns and contribute to improving overall patient experience.
- Assist in monitoring departmental budgets and resource utilization where applicable.
- Support implementation of healthcare programs, outreach activities, and preventive care initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with occupational health and workplace safety requirements.
- Participate in disaster preparedness and emergency response planning activities.
- Foster strong relationships with patients, colleagues, regulatory authorities, and other stakeholders.
Qualifications & Requirements

Skills & Competencies
- Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) or Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from a recognized institution.
- Registration with the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC).
- Valid practicing license issued by the relevant regulatory authority.
- Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Valid Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic abilities.
- Sound patient management and treatment planning skills.
- Excellent medical decision-making capability.
- Leadership and team coordination skills.
