Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage strategic relationships with corporate trustee service clients across diverse sectors and investment structures.
- Grow the Bank’s trustee services portfolio by identifying new business opportunities and converting prospects into long-term clients.
- Execute business development initiatives aimed at increasing revenue, profitability, and market penetration.
- Achieve assigned financial, operational, and business growth targets within agreed timelines.
- Serve as the primary contact person for trustee service clients and provide timely professional support.
- Build strong partnerships with investment managers, issuers, scheme administrators, legal professionals, and regulators.
- Conduct comprehensive compliance reviews for all schemes and trust structures under management.
- Monitor compliance with Capital Markets Authority regulations and other applicable regulatory requirements.
- Identify compliance gaps and coordinate corrective actions to ensure full resolution of outstanding issues.
- Maintain accurate records of compliance assessments, findings, recommendations, and resolutions.
- Evaluate operational, financial, legal, and reputational risks associated with trustee mandates.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to protect client and institutional interests.
- Monitor scheme performance and governance practices to ensure adherence to trustee obligations.
- Coordinate quarterly trustee meetings and facilitate effective stakeholder participation.
- Prepare meeting agendas, reports, resolutions, and governance documentation.
- Organize annual general meetings and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
- Present trustee reports, compliance findings, and governance updates during client engagements.
- Provide technical guidance on trustee services, investment structures, and regulatory expectations.
- Support the implementation of the Bank’s corporate trustee services strategy.
- Contribute to policy development and continuous improvement of trustee service processes.
- Maintain strong working relationships with regulatory bodies and industry stakeholders.
- Ensure timely escalation of significant compliance, governance, or risk-related matters.
- Monitor regulatory developments affecting trustee services and recommend necessary actions.
- Promote service excellence through responsive client engagement and proactive problem resolution.
- Collaborate with internal departments to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.
- Prepare business performance reports and management updates as required.
- Participate in market research and competitor analysis to identify growth opportunities.
- Support audits, inspections, and regulatory reviews affecting trustee operations.
- Uphold high standards of integrity, professionalism, and fiduciary responsibility.
- Drive client retention initiatives and strengthen long-term customer loyalty.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Capital Markets Program Certification (CISI) is mandatory.
- Additional professional qualifications in finance, investments, law, risk management, or compliance will be an added advantage.
