A University dedicated in imparting creative and critical thinking as part of the essential skills needed for living and working successfully in a dynamic society. Also, to participate in the discovery, transmission, preservation, enhancement of knowledge and to stimulate the intellectual participation of students in the economic, sociocultural, scientific and technological development of Kenya and the community of nations. Our History Bomet University College is the first public University in Bomet County. It is strategically placed at the heart of Bomet County. Its establishment is a step towards realization of a fully-fledged University in line with the government policy to establish at least one University in every County. The County Education Board (CEB) recommended the establishment of a University in Bomet County. Subsequently Moi University was approached to consider starting a campus in Bomet that would eventually be upgraded with time to a University status. The then Vice Chancellor, Prof. Richard K. Mibey sent a University technical team to assess the viability. After consultation with Bomet County leaders and other stakeholders, Bomet TTI, which was still under construction, was handed over to Moi University in March 2016 to start a campus. Thereafter it became operational and the first cohort of GSSP students were admitted on 31st August 2016 to Bomet College.
